Dispositionalism in Musculoskeletal Care: Understanding and Integrating Unique Characteristics of the Clinical Encounter to Optimize Patient Care (AudioBook)

Reference: AUDIOBOOKS

Price: US$9.95

The aim of this book is to discuss contextual factors and the mechanisms at play during the management of musculoskeletal disorders. Knowledge and understanding of these factors can help clinicians to better understand their patients, themselves, and the interactions taking place during patient-clinician exchanges. The awareness of these dispositions can help physicians improve themselves and the care they deliver to patients, leading to a true patient-centered collaborative therapeutic alliance. Physician-patient collaboration is, in turn, associated with better patient adherence and outcomes, and care, delivered in a positive context, produces better outcomes.

Interesting!

Dispositionalism is a concept that differs from the common models that view the individual as a whole, this method analyzes the condition of a human by separating every causality to understand what is actually happening to the patient, because usually, it is not just one thing, it's a combination of conditions that ills the human body and mind.
It was an interesting approach; as a physical education teacher I have a basic understanding of musculoskeletal care, and I think this book expanded my knowledge and gave me tools and ideas to implement. Nevertheless, I think this book is advanced and should be read by people in the healthcare business; it is definitely technical.
